Kevin Pietersen has pulled out of the 8th edition of the Indian Premier League and this has come as a big blow for the Sunrisers Hyderabad who had purchased the English batsman for a sum of 20 million INR. Pietersen has stated that he is hopeful of an England recall and therefore he has decided to play English county cricket for surrey.

The English batsman was axed in February 2014 after the England team had a disastrous tour down under where they lost all their matches. After getting axed by the England board Kevin Pietersen published his autobiography and made some strong statements against his fellow team mates. Pietersen made a lot of strong statements about the bullying culture in the England cricket team dressing room and also the bullying nature of the English bowlers whenever a fielder used to drop a catch.

Kevin Pietersen was bought by the royal challengers Bangalore in the 1st edition of the IPL. He was later bought by the Deccan chargers in 2011 and was sold to Delhi Daredevils in 2012. Since then he has played for Delhi and was sold to the Sunrisers Hyderabad in this year’s auction. Pietersen recently said “I’m hugely grateful of all the support and understanding I’ve received from everyone at the Sunrisers and the IPL My focus is now very much on the upcoming season in England and I’m absolutely determined to score as many runs as possible and earn an England Cricket recall.

Will KP make a comeback into the England team?
Lets hope he does.
